Artists emphasized novelty in brushwork, composition, and content, striving for lively spiritual ambience in their artworks, resulting in paintings that surprise and captivate. In ancient Chinese paintings, “Qi” is primarily manifested in content, brushwork, composition, and spiritual ambience, showcasing the beauty of transcendence, the beauty of sorrow and resentment, the beauty of temperament, and the beauty of spiritual ambience.
